10. Build a fort outside
There is something special about building a fort in the woods. This a great activity to do with your kids. The fort can be a simple as some branches leaning up against a tree to a complex fort with lumber and tarps. Forts can also be made out of snow or a burrow dug into the earth. Allow for imaginations to set the pace and yet be sure to inspect the fort for safety concerns. A fort can bring countless hours of activity and create memories to last a lifetime. Who knows a simple fort this summer may inspire a future architect!
